Puthen Malika Palace most popularly known as Kuthira Malika (Mansion of Horses)The kuthiramalika palace Museuma is hosed in a majestic palace which is noted for its traditional Travancore style of architecture and exquisite wood carvings. The palace located near the Padmanabhaswamy temple was built by Maharaja Swathithirunal Balaramavarma.the King of Travancore and a well known poet muscian, social reformer and statesman. It was named after the carvings of horses head on the exterior wall. The museum provides a rare insight into the lives of the royal family of the erstwhile state of Travancore. It exhibits rare and priceless collections of the former royal family Travancore.
